Campus Community Forum Panelist
April 2019
I was invited to speak on the 2019 Campus Community Forum Empowerment Through Engagement: Advancing the Land Grant. I sat alongside seven guests to talk about the opportunities that land grants provide to state universities. The panel consisted of two students from Washington State University and one from the University of Idaho, one teacher from each university, and two community members that we had spent the semester partnered with.
Through our partnership with Whitman County Public Health, the team helped the local non-profit create public relations literature. We discussed how professors and local organizations about can form their own partnerships and the benefits they might receive from them. As a student, I gained real time experience with a client and strengthened my team working skills.
